By-Laws and Annual Meeting

The League of Women Voters of Orange, Durham and Chatham Counties By-Laws provide the framework in which the League operates its non-partisan citizen education and action organization. The By-Laws
- define the purposes and policies of the League and membership requirements,
- identify the duties and responsibilities of its Officers, Board of Directors and its Executive Committee and how they are to be elected, and
- describe the requirements and processes for the Meetings, Financial Administration, Programs and Annual Meeting of the LWVODC.

2006-2007 Annual Meeting Workbook and Cover

The 2006-2007 Annual May Business Meeting was held at the Southern Season Restaurant on May 19, 2007. John Dancy, former NBC News correspondent and four-time Emmy award winner, spoke to League members after dinner on: "Television News is for People Who Watch Television: Why TV Can't Cover Politics."
Following Mr. Dancy, the outgoing President, Jan Richmond, conducted the Annual Business Meeting and provided highlights of the successful past League year, thanked the LWVODC Board Members for their hard work, presented the 2007 - 2008 proposed budget and program, and introduced the slate of LWVODC Officers and Board Members for approval by the membership. The new LWVODC President, Vicki Boyer, provided comments at the end of the meeting.
